Unlike a traditional restaurant—where you feel obliged to order a starter, a main, and a dessert—at Compagnie des Vins Surnaturels we've created a more casual and welcoming atmosphere where one can certainly enjoy a full meal or just a few nibbles with a stunning bottle of wine.

Our head sommelier in London, Julia Oudill, takes time with each guest to talk about the wines and choose the perfect glass or bottle for them.

Wine is a subject that one can study for years and years—there is always something more to learn—so we host wine tastings at the restaurant and at our wine boutique, La Compagnie Delicatessen, in our atelier and garden spaces.

Compagnie Des Vins Surnaturels - Just Opened London

London’s wine scene is getting that certain ‘je ne se quoi’ in the form of Compagnie Des Vins Surnaturels from the minds behind Experimental Cocktail Club.

The new venue, situated in the heart of Covent Garden houses over 400 original wines from across the globe made by small producers, with an ever-changing list that steers well clear of the mainstream and focuses on the ‘cleanest wines from hand-laboured vineyards’.

Including new discoveries from rising wine stars,  from the slopes of Mount Etna from 2012 Italian winemaker of the year Vito Catania of Azienda Gulfi and also from 650 meters above sea level – with the wines from Dominik Uber from the Terroir al Limit winery in Priorat, Spain.

There’ll also be a french-inspired lunch and dinner that’s been developed to compliment the tantalising wine (a place where the wine comes first?

It’s french-inspired but British produce on the menu.
